Simulation study of a pulsed DBD with an electrode containing charge injector parts

By using a multispecies fluid model, the tunability and controllability of plasma parameters such as distributions electron density, energy, ion electric field in microdielectric barrier discharge (DBD) with charge injector electrode driven by negatively polarized nanosecond pulsed voltage superimposed on positive DC bias are investigated. To this end, effects changing features like pulse rise time (10–20 ns), peak width (10–15 fall (20–30 ns) characteristics argon formed inside reactor studied. The results show that increase time, density increases, while change does not significantly affect parameters. Generally, study explicitly prove possibility controlling DBD reactors negative combined voltage, which is very important waste gas conversion applications.
